The Instructional Design group is responsible for designing and developing courseware in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. The designers work with Subject Matter Experts (faculty and outside clients) to obtain the appropriate content. Along with the IRC and Video Services we develop content outlines and design documents, user interfaces, screen layouts, templates and graphics to support learning content.

We also provide support for the WebCT at NJIT course management system, and offer a wide variety of support & training services available by appointment and regularly scheduled TLT sessions.

We believe that technology alone is nothing more than a tool to assist in the achievement of instructional goals. We offer assistance to faculty regardless of whether they are developing in class or face-to-face instructional materials. Our expertise is based upon a sound understanding of pedagogical methods, and the application of tools to achieve instructional goals. If you have any questions, or are interested in learning how our department can help you achieve your instructional goals, please don't hesitate to contact one of our instructional designers.
