About ITMS

Welcome to NJIT’s Instructional Technology and Media Services (ITMS) Department. There are three groups within the ITMS department that serve the NJIT community: the Instructional Resource Center, Instructional Support Services, and Instructional Video Services.
The Instructional Resource Center (IRC) group offers resources and on-site training to assist professors and faculty with using teaching technologies, such as Moodle and Camtasia Relay. The IRC also provides the NJIT teaching community with the use of its faculty resource lab located in the GITC and the assistance of its Student Technology Advisors and Resource Services (STARS) program.
The Instructional Support Services (ISS) group provides the NJIT teaching staff with large selection of audiovisual and presentation equipment, as well as the assistance and training to use these devices. The ISS focuses on improving the quality of classroom instruction by allowing students, faculty, and staff to borrow these devices for on-campus use. Equipment can be reserved for use by submitting a reservation on our online system here.
The Instructional Video Services (IVS) group assists with refining the visual features of your classroom or Distance Learning (DL) activities. The IVS provides assistance with using programs like Camtasia Relay or iMovie by offering seminars and Teaching, Learning, Technology (TLT) sessions throughout the semester and offering one-on-one training. Help with video conferencing and remote/on-site class recordings are also available. The NJIT ITMS main office is located in GITC 0300. To contact the ITMS main phone line, please feel free to call 973-596-3005.
