Camtasia Relay is an application that allows you to record any activity on your desktop along with audio. This application has been successfully utilized for recording classes, student presentations, and short learning objects.
The process for using Relay is simple. First, go to relay.njit.edu, login using your UCID and password, and follow the link to download the recorder. (This is a small application that will reside on your desktop (PC and Mac versions are available). Once installed, Relay is ready to be used. Attach a microphone to your computer, test it, and you are ready to record. When complete, the recording will offload from your machine to a server at NJIT for processing. When the job is complete, you will receive an E-mail, with links, to the completed files.
By default, the server will create a master file, a podcast, and a web-based flash presentation. The outputs can be customized to send a file to the iTunes site or to also create an audio only version. Please contact Bill Duelly, 973-596-3285 Duelly@njit.edu or Kip Rowan, 973-596-6346 Rowank@njit.edu for assistance with this.
